Preparing for an adventure

Well friends, I spoke with my Brother last night and sort of picked up a plan. What? well a Job. I have been for the last fiew years, disabled due to arthritis and as such have limited my 'work life' to semi-work situations. My last go at working was with a start-up motorcycle shop in Redlands California. The whole enterprise started as some oftentimes do, my Son had a friend that had new Chineese dirt bikes for sale. Well after some time of dismissing the whole idea I went down the road and visited the fella that my Son had spoke of. Turned out to be an increadably like-minded individual. Hence the start of an amazing friendship. Over the course of roughly a year of selling bikes and quads on highway areas, the same thing you see where individuals sell produce on the corners, that turn into little Flea markets. Well after the volume of sales became apparent of our sucess, we decided that a lagit store was in order. That was the start of Ironhorse Motosports. Fast forward to today: Well after speaking with my Brother as I said, the subject of working in Yellowstone Park came up. He currently works there and is in a position of authority which may or may not have any influence, but if nothing else give me some inside information on the types of workers they are searching for. Myself, I was a brick and block mason most of my life, with a couple stints as a welder for various manufacturing companys. I also worked with a fellow restoring turn of the century homes, historical homes. So I guess we'll follow my quest to seek employment at Yellowstone this next spring. Of course, I can't just be a normal citizen applying for work, NO! I'm sure that I will stand out simply because I will be the one with the Army truck. It may become nessesary at some point to use it as a rescue vehicle, for instance, right now as we speak there is an out of control fire raging near the lake in virgin 600 year old forrest, with road closures due to debre. Could be that if I were there I could be moving firefighters in and out of remote areas unacessable by regular vehicles. So friends follow along on this blog and we'll share the future adventures of your host Richard. Till the next post, be good or be quick....
